Tŷ Gwydr / Greenhouse Needs You!

We rely on volunteers to provide a service to the community of Bangor and beyond. If you can spare some time and energy, and have skills or experience that you can share, we'd like to hear from you.

Volunteers benefit by:

• gaining work experience
• learning new skills
• networking
• meeting new people
• getting a reference
• doing satisfying work

Many of our volunteers look back on their time at Greenhouse as one when they gained valuable skills and experience that helped them move into successful careers.

Greenhouse Volunteer Tasks

What are the core tasks?

• Welcoming and greeting visitors and users
• Opening and closing the building
• Taking bookings
• Dealing with enquiries
• Recording and relaying messages
• Checking public areas are neat and tidy
• Checking meeting areas are ready for use
• Assisting customers with photocopying and other services
• Taking and recording receipts
• Reporting any problems or health and safety issues to the Coordinator

There are additional volunteering opportunities from time to time. These may include getting involved in other activities, such as Greenhouse events (e.g. Open Day, Craft Fair etc.), administration or management.
